Haslingden CC are delighted to announce that they have appointed Joe Scuderi as Head Coach at the CDM Windows Bentgate Ground covering both the Junior and senior sections of the club.
In announcing the appointment, Cricket Committee Manager Barry Knowles noted :
“We are delighted that Joe has agreed to come on board as Head Coach to help develop and improve the talent we have at the club and to drive the club forward to more success. Without question, Joe was one of the best Professionals the league has had in recent years. He had fantastic cricketing ability and just as important, he had the passion and will to win that produced a lot of success at the clubs he played for. He comes with a wealth of coaching experience both in the UK and abroad and I am sure he will be a great addition to the club.”
On accepting the appointment, Joe commented :
“I’m looking forward to the exciting opportunity and challenge of working with Haslingden CC to develop existing senior players and to also help progress players from juniors to seniors in what will be a new era of the Lancashire League.”
Joe’s work will start in earnest early in 2017 as pre season preparations commence. The work will continue over the summer months when it is targeted that we will have progressed our outdoor state of the art non turf practice facility in order to enhance the benefits this appointment can bring to the club.
As well as his cricketing and coaching skills, Joe is also an accomplished drummer. If you want an early chance to meet Joe then his band “The Joe Publix” are performing at HCC on Friday 30 September playing a set including The Clash, The Jam, Madness, Ska and many many more. Doors are open from 7.00 and ADMISSION IS FREE !!!
We look forward to seeing the results in 2017.
Haslingden Cricket Club are delighted to announce a new 3 year partnership with CDM Windows, Doors and Conservatories whereby the famous Bentgate Cricket Ground will now be refered to as the “CDM Windows Bentgate Ground” when mentioned in matchday announcements, in the press and in articles on the LL website. The club would especially like to thank Andrew Hernon from CDM for his willingness to support the club in this way.
Congratulations to both our 1st XI and 2nd XI sides who have made it to their respective cup finals. This is a fantastic achievement and one which is matched by Burnley CC who will be the opposition in both finals. The finals should be two very competitive games with both Burnley sides sitting in second place in the league and both HCC sides sitting in fourth.
The 1st XI travel to Turf Moor for their final on Sunday 7th August.
The 2nd XI final however is this Sunday, 24th July at Bentgate – details below.
Why not start off cup final Sunday with a breakfast from KL Catering – served in the pavilion from 10.00 to 11.30.
Apologies for the short notice but to a large extent the timing is dictated from elsewhere. There will be a players and members forum on Monday 4th April at 7.30 in the members lounge at HCC. The forum will be to discuss what is effectively a final proposal for expansion of the Lancashire League which member clubs will be expected to vote on in the near future. As such we need to assess opinion at HCC in order to cast our vote. Details of the proposal can be seen in the link below.
